DeeCon is a Chrome extension that helps users inspect HTTP headers, security signals, and detected web technologies for the active browser tab.

Data DeeCon Accesses

DeeCon may access the following data when you use the extension:

• The active tab URL
• HTTP request and response headers for the active tab
• Response status and timing information
• Lightweight website technology signals, such as script URLs, stylesheet URLs, meta tags, link tags, class names, and framework markers
• User preferences, such as light or dark theme selection

How Data Is Used

This data is used only to provide DeeCon’s features, including:

• Displaying request and response headers
• Analyzing common security headers
• Detecting web technologies used by the active website
• Showing possible header-based security findings
• Generating an optional local PDF report
• Saving extension preferences

Data Sharing

DeeCon does not sell, rent, transfer, or share user data with third parties.

DeeCon does not send captured headers, URLs, website technology signals, or browsing data to external servers.

All analysis is performed locally in your browser.

Data Storage

DeeCon stores only user preferences, such as theme selection, using Chrome extension storage.

DeeCon does not permanently store captured headers, website content, browsing history, or generated reports.

Remote Code

DeeCon does not use remote code. All extension scripts and libraries are included in the extension package.

Permissions

DeeCon requests browser permissions only to provide its core functionality:

• webRequest: to read HTTP request and response headers
• tabs: to identify the active tab
• scripting: to inspect lightweight technology signals from the active page
• storage: to save user preferences
• Host permissions: to inspect headers and technologies on the active website chosen by the user

User Control

You can disable or remove DeeCon at any time from Chrome’s Extensions page.

Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
